Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under licensed special education staff. You will assist individuals and small groups with curriculum, skill development, behavior strategies, and assignment completion.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, monitoring progress, maintaining achievement records, and providing technical physical care to ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Criminal background check & fingerprinting
• HSE diploma required
• No professional work experience required
• Demonstrated ability to modify curriculum as appropriate
• Crisis Prevention Intervention training required by District
• Medication administration training as needed
• Basic knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs.
• Support curriculum delivery to individuals and small groups to generalize skills.
• Maintain records of student progress and behavior with licensed staff.
• Provide age-appropriate instruction and behavior support per IEP.
• Assist with remote learning, technology access, and executive functioning strategies.
