Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe special education needs under licensed staff guidance. You will help deliver curriculum to individuals and small groups, implement IEP accommodations, and support data collection on progress and behavior.

Responsibilities include materials prep, tests, attendance, and assisting with both in-person and remote activities. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this school-based role.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma is required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I assignments: specific education requirements demonstrated by education or assessment.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention training required by District.
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs.
• Implement IEP accommodations and track student progress with staff.
• Prepare materials, administer tests, and assist with attendance and classroom events.
• Support online/remote learning activities and tech troubleshooting.
• Maintain records of student progress and behavior with licensed staff.
