East Valley School District 361's East Valley Parent Partnership & EV Online in Spokane Valley, WA is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator. This part-time role supports the classroom and student activities under the supervision of the special education teacher.

Qualified applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and meet one of the Praxis/AA degree/or credits requirements, be at least 18, and pass background checks. Immunization proof may be requested.

Qualifications

• Praxis or AA Degree or 72 quarter/48 sem credits or completed apprenticeship required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Assist the special education teacher with classroom program prep and materials.
• Provide instruction to students with special needs as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist the special education teacher in implementation, organization and preparation of the classroom program and materials.
• Provide instruction to students with special needs as assigned and supervised by the special education teacher.
• Assist the special education teacher with record keeping tasks as directed.
• Assist in maintaining the safety and well-being of the students.
• Work daily with students according to schedule.
• Utilize district software programs including Skyward, Word, Excel and SMI.
