Job summary

Qualifications

• Be a high school graduate, or equivalent, with an associate degree or have completed two years of college (60 college credits).
• Must meet Michigan Department of Education guidelines for instructional paraprofessionals under No Child Left Behind act.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with implementing individual instructional and behavioral plans.
• Support instruction in cognitive domain and functional academic skills.
• Help students with self-care skills and community-based instruction.
• Assist in group activities and with therapy-related tasks (PT, OT).
• Support classroom management and attendance records, lunch counts, and communications with bus drivers.
