Job summary

Chandler Unified School District is seeking a Paraeducator Special Education to provide instructional support in a resource/inclusion setting at Bologna Elementary in Chandler, AZ. The role supports students with high-incidence disabilities under the supervision of a special education teacher.

Starting pay is $17.32 per hour with a full-time 6.5 hours/day calendar, 1902 FT/184 work days, plus holidays and benefits. Experience and education credits may adjust starting rate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• TITLE 1 Schools Only: Associate's Degree or 60 semester hours or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certification provided.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; physical requirements described.

Responsibilities

• Student Support & Instruction: reinforce material with individuals or small groups.
• Social-Emotional Development: support behavioral plans and positive learning environment.
• Supervision & Safety: supervise students during activities and drills; ensure safety.
• Classroom Operations: help maintain a quiet, orderly classroom.
• Communication & Confidentiality: report student concerns to teachers.
• Flexibility & Teamwork: perform other duties to support the position.
