Washoe County School District seeks a Paraeducator Aide II to support classroom instruction in special education at Reed High School. Under supervision, you assist teachers and students with daily living, academic, and behavioral needs, provide one-on-one or small-group support, and help manage classroom activities.

This role may involve working with programs such as CLS, EC, SIP, Strategies, and IK, following IEP goals, safety procedures, and data collection.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Any education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying.
• Ability to assist students with intellectual, physical, or behavioral disabilities.
• May need the ability to move students weighing 50-80 pounds daily and repetitively.

Responsabilités

• Assist students with intellectual, physical, or behavioral disabilities in classrooms and on buses as needed.
• Provide attendant services and help with functional life skills, health and hygiene habits.
• Assist in recording student progress and developing instructional materials.
• Follow individualized education program (IEP) plans and safety procedures.
