Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator Level II at Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, MD. This 6-hour/10-month position supports students with IEPs, assists with instructional activities, and may involve off-site activities. The role offers progression from grade 15 to 16 after probation and training hours.

The schedule is part-time with a 60-hour bi-weekly block. The candidate must have an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and may complete the ParaPro

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development, instructional strategies and practices applicable to assignment, and instructional goals and policies of MCPS.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of standard computer hardware and software such as Google Workspace, MS Office and web-based instructional tools.

Responsibilities

• Promote student learning and well-being for students with IEPs.
• Facilitate mastery of grade-level curriculum or Alternate Academic Achievement Standards.
• Provide instructional and classroom management supports and related clerical tasks.
