Job summary

West Valley School District is seeking a DLC Special Education Paraprofessional at Summitview Elementary in Yakima, WA. The role involves supervising and instructing students, supporting certificated teachers, and assisting with IEP-related activities across classrooms, playgrounds, and field trips.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with one of several acceptable credentials and involves 7 hours per day, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least one of the listed requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups under the teacher's guidance.
• Follow a structured teaching and learning plan.
• Provide direct instruction tutoring and support to students.
• Monitor student progress and maintain records as directed.
• Support IEP requirements within daily lesson plans.
• Assist with transportation and supervision as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct.
