Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 48 college hours or Master Teacher Online Exam within first 90 days.
• 20 hours/year in-service training required.
• Non-exempt, at-will positions.

Responsibilities

• Adapts and provides accommodations to support participation in general education and resource activities.
• Aids students with daily tasks and social growth.
• Addresses personal care needs as required to enable participation in school activities.
• Participates in trainings to meet state requirements and to convey job-related information.
• Collaborates with staff to support student progress per IEP.
• Creates visual aids for students with visual impairments as needed.
• Implements educational and behavioral programs under supervision of certified staff.
• Supports students with challenging behavior following district and IEP policies.
