The role involves implementing instruction plans, monitoring behavior, and communicating with school personnel under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 48 college hours or a qualifying exam within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and meet the 48 college hours/online exam requirement within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Adapts and provides accommodations of classroom activities under teacher guidance to support IEP goals.
• Aids students in and out of classroom and supports social growth and daily living skills.
• Assists with personal care needs to enable participation in general education settings.
• Participates in trainings to meet state requirements and convey information to staff.
• Collaborates with staff to support student progress and general education integration.
