Job summary

Chandler Unified School District is seeking a Paraeducator Special Education – Learning Disability for inclusion/resource support. 1902 FT/1802 PT schedules exist with a $17.32 per hour starting rate.

The role requires a high school diploma and the potential for an associates degree or Parapro exam; CPR/First Aid and background checks are provided or required. You will support instruction under a special education teacher, work with students with disabilities, and participate in safety,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associates degree, or 60 college credits, or a passing Parapro exam.
• CPR/First Aid certification is provided/required.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer software.
• Satisfactory criminal background check is required.
• Ability to exert 10–30 lbs. of force and perform physical tasks as described.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce material and skills individually or in small groups under supervision.
• Assist with assessments and data collection.
• Support social-emotional development and positive behaviors.
• Supervise students during activities and ensure safety.
• Maintain classroom operations and confidentiality of information.
• Collaborate with staff and be flexible to support district goals.
