Job summary

Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) seeks a Para-Educator to support students with disabilities in classrooms and community-based settings. Under licensed staff guidance, you will assist with instructional, behavioral, and health-related activities to help students meet IEP/IFSP goals.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED; college coursework in child development, education, or psychology is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/adults with special needs is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift/move students and perform essential duties.
• Must meet Michigan DHS Child Abuse and Neglect Registry clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support students with disabilities in classrooms and community-based settings.
• Assist with instructional, behavioral, and health-related activities under supervision.
