The Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) seeks a dedicated Para-Educator to support students with disabilities in classrooms, community-based settings, or one-on-one. Under supervision of licensed staff, you will assist with instructional, behavioral, and health-related activities to help students meet IEP/IFSP goals.
Required: high school diploma or GED; DHS clearance; ability to lift/move students; experience with special needs preferred.
Competenze
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in child development, education, psychology, or special education preferred
- Experience working with children/adults with special needs preferred
- Physical ability to lift/move students and perform essential duties
- Must meet Michigan DHS Child Abuse and Neglect Registry clearance

- Supports students with disabilities in classrooms, community-based experiences, or one-on-one settings
