Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college credits; or Passed the Para Pro test.
• Experience working with children; in an educational setting preferred.
• Experience with and/or the ability to become CPI trained if necessary.
• Experience working with children with Special Education services preferred.
• Passion to work with school aged children.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in daily instruction and classroom management.
• Support students in learning across content areas in individual, small group, and whole group settings.
• Assist students in self-regulation and behavior management to maximize learning.
• Provide sensory support and assistive technology as needed.
• Assist and support students in communication with peers and staff.
• Support student transitions during arrival, dismissal, and between classes.
• Contribute to development of social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
• Review student IEPs as needed to ensure needs are met.
• May provide personal care assistance as required.
• Other duties as directed by Administration.
