Project Genesis is seeking a Learning Mentor to support students with disabilities transitioning from high school to adulthood. You will provide hands-on educational support and life-skills coaching in community-based settings, following a school-day schedule in Killingly, CT.

Responsibilities include individualized instruction, teaching job readiness, tracking progress, maintaining IEP portfolios, and traveling locally within 30 miles.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in education or human services is a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in education, special education, or human services.
• Understanding of IDEA and related topics.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record (3+ years).
• Ability to obtain Public Passenger Endorsement “A” from the DMV upon hire.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment and random 10-panel drug testing.
• Ability to travel locally within a 30-mile radius.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a big plus.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift hours (school schedule)

Pay: $19+/hour (based on education and experience)
