Qualifications

Located in Hebron, CT, this rewarding role offers a standard workweek of 40 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be the driving force behind developing, implementing, and overseeing individualized programs designed to foster academic, social, vocational, and daily living skills. What You Will Do

• Develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring all components—including medical, behavioral, and recreational goals—are integrated.


• Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to students, families, and team members.


• Lead dynamic, evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to each student's learning profile.


• Manage classroom routines and student schedules to foster a consistent and supportive learning environment.


• Collaborate actively with colleagues during trans-disciplinary meetings to refine programs and adapt to evolving needs.


• Inspire and supervise staff, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere through training, coaching, and performance evaluations.


• Maintain detailed documentation, including progress reports and quarterly updates, communicating effectively with families and support staff.
