Job summary

The Corvallis School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support licensed staff in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with moderate to severe disabilities. The role involves small group and one-to-one instruction, data collection, and collaboration with teachers to achieve IEP goals.

You will assist with behavior management, safe student interactions, and routine tasks such as supervising on buses and at activities.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or higher is required or equivalent; two years post-secondary study acceptable.
Experience working with students with special needs is desirable.
Ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff is essential.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing instructional programs for students with moderate to severe disabilities.
Provide small group or one-on-one instruction under licensed staff supervision.
Record and maintain developmental data and communicate progress to licensed staff.
Support behavior management and safety protocols in the classroom.
Assist with feeding, toileting, and other student needs as required.
Supervise students in and outside the classroom and at related activities.
