Job summary

Wayland Union Schools is looking for an SEIU Aide to support students with daily tasks, IEP implementations, and health needs under teacher supervision. The role emphasizes discretion, confidentiality, and a positive work history in a district focused on student success.

Responsibilities include intervention support in four core academic areas, attendance monitoring, and following directives of professional staff. CPI training is provided by the district.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
• Proficiency with Google applications and digital tools
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training required (district provides)

Responsibilities

• Assist students with daily tasks under direct teacher supervision and IEP implementation
• Assist students with toileting and health needs as required
• Provide student intervention support in four core academic areas
• Support attendance and behavior management under supervision

Qualifications:

• Strong in four core academic areas

• Capable of following directives of professional staff
• Dependable, punctual, with a positive work history
• High School diploma required, Associate degree preferred
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Training Required (training provided by the district)

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Assist students with daily tasks, under direct teacher supervision with implementation of students’ IEPs
• Assist students with toileting and health needs
• Student intervention support in four core academic areas
• Attendance is an essential function for this position
• Maintain student behavior through appropriate intervention and techniques
• All other responsibilities assigned by the Director of Special Education or Building Administrator

Terms of Employment:

29.75 hours weekly, 176 student days
