Qualifications

  • Valid state teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful special education teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IDEA, MTSS frameworks, and special education compliance.
  • Strong understanding of instructional strategies, curriculum modifications, and behavior intervention.
  • Ability to coach and support adult staff/learners in a collaborative manner.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor special education teachers and paraprofessionals on best practices in instruction, accommodations, and modifications.
  • Provide training and guidance on special education compliance, including IEP development, progress monitoring, evaluation procedures, and documentation.
  • Support staff with curriculum planning, instructional design, behavior support strategies, and effective delivery of specially designed instruction.
  • Assist teachers with scheduling, workload distribution, case management planning, and daily routines.
  • Work collaboratively with administrators and related service providers to improve service delivery and program implementation.
