Job summary

You will work closely with the classroom teacher, be part of a collaborative team, and help implement behavioral interventions. The role may involve activities like bowling and swimming for middle/high school students, and assisting with daily student care and safety.

Qualifications

• The ability to provide instruction to students under the direct supervision of the special education teacher.
• Keep accurate records of instructional information.
• Work with and take direction from the classroom teacher.
• Work as a part of a team.
• Correct paperwork and instruct students in small groups.
• Implement behavioral intervention programs as outlined by the classroom teacher.
• Assist with specialized personal needs of students.
• Work independently.
• Two years of college coursework or passing competency test within first month of employment.

Responsibilities
