Job summary

First Learning is seeking an experienced Special Education Coordinator to support programs serving children with disabilities. You will oversee IEP/504 processes, coordinate with families and school districts, and mentor classroom staff to ensure compliant, developmentally appropriate services.

The role requires a Master’s in Special Education and certification, with a focus on data-driven planning and strong communication with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Special Education required; NYS certification or equivalent.
• Experience with IEP/IFSP processes and compliance with federal/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee caseload of students and implement IEP/504 plans in an inclusive setting.
• Ensure delivery of special education instruction and related services per IEP/IFSP.
• Maintain student files and data in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with families and attend IEP meetings with school districts as needed.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to classroom staff on appropriate supports.
