Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a paraeducator to support a grade 4 student at Belmont Elementary School. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30–3:30, part-time (65 hours bi-weekly).

The role includes assisting with instructional activities, managing student behavior, and providing support for students with diverse needs under an IEP. Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with students in structured educational settings is preferred.
• Ability to follow IEP goals and instructional plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of instructional programs and activities.
• Monitor and ensure appropriate student behavior.
• Support students with various academic, behavioral, social, emotional, and physical needs.
