Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a part-time School Instructional Support paraeducator at Bethesda Elementary School. Under the principal’s direction, you will support students with IEPs, assist with instructional activities, and provide behavioral and clerical support to teachers.

Responsibilities include facilitating learning in general or specialized settings, adapting instruction, using Google Workspace and MS Office tools, and maintaining student engagement and safety throughout

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree is required; a Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with students in structured educational settings is preferred.
• If no related coursework, 2–4 years of experience with children/adolescents in structured settings is required.
• ParaPro Assessment with a qualifying score of 455 or higher is required.
• Any combinations of applicable education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Certificate and license requirements: None.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academic, behavioral, social, emotional, and physical support.
• Support teachers with instructional activities and classroom management.
• Perform clerical tasks to support staff.
