Job summary

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut teaching certificate in Comprehensive Special Education PK–12 or 165 Comprehensive Special Education, PreK–12 or 265 Comprehensive Special Education, 1–12.
• Or be Eligible for a State of Connecticut teaching certificate in subject area (includes ARC candidates).
• Experience in high school setting preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills and ability to differentiate instruction.

Responsibilities

• Educate students with and without disabilities using differentiated instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with content area teachers to ensure equity and accessibility across disciplines.
• Administer and interpret a variety of assessment batteries to guide instruction and supports.
• Engage in parent and community outreach and contribute to a student-centered classroom environment.
