Job summary

CTECS, at Howell Cheney Tech in Danbury, CT, seeks an experienced Special Education Instructor to educate students with and without disabilities, manage case loads, and employ differentiated strategies with assistive tech.

The role is a full-time, first-shift position at Henry Abbott Technical High School. Applicants must hold or be eligible for CT teaching certification in Special Education (065/165/265) for 9-12 or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years’ experience in a high school setting (9-12 education).
• CT teaching certificate or eligibility in Special Education endorsement.
• Experience with differentiated instructional strategies and supporting students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Educate students with and without disabilities using differentiated instructional strategies.
• Manage case load and collaborate with content-area teachers to ensure equity.
• Engage in parent/community outreach and professional development.
