Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or two years of college completed (60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours) or HS diploma/GED with Paraprofessional Test.
• Valid Paraprofessional Certificate.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to work with adults and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students with disabilities in special education or general education settings as assigned.
• Maintain appropriate classroom behavior and supervise students for safety and adherence to school rules.
• Perform data collection and routine record-keeping as instructed by the teacher.
• Assist in clerical tasks including ordering and inventory of classroom materials.
• Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office and follow district technology policies.
• Attend required professional development and maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Demonstrate positive working relationships and take direction from the supervisor.
