Job summary

Newton County Schools is seeking a Special Education Adaptive Paraprofessional to provide physical and instructional support to students with disabilities, enabling progress in the general curriculum and on IEP goals. Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree or 60/90 college hours, or HS diploma with Georgia Paraprofessional Certification.
• Valid Paraprofessional Certificate.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Able to work well with adults and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students with disabilities as directed.
• Assist with classroom management and student safety.
• Perform data collection and record-keeping as instructed by the teacher.
• Assist with clerical tasks and materials inventory.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Prepare instructional materials and displays.
