Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60/90 college hours or HS diploma with paraprofessional test.
• Valid Paraprofessional Certificate.
• Good communication, organized and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Be present at work every day, on time and perform duties effectively.
• Provide instructional support to individuals and/or small groups of students with disabilities.
• Demonstrate classroom management and supervise students for safety and rules.
• Perform data collection and routine record-keeping as instructed by the teacher.
• Assist with clerical tasks including ordering and inventory of classroom materials.
• Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office and adhere to tech policies.
• Participate in professional learning as required by the school system.
• Maintain confidentiality of all school information concerning students, staff and school business.
• Attend faculty meetings and other required meetings.
• Maintain paraprofessional certification as required by the Georgia PSC.
• Exhibit time-on-task, cooperative and proactive attitude.
• Demonstrate positive working relationships and take direction from supervisor.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials and displays.
• Ensure classroom and equipment are maintained safely.
• Monitor students before/after school and during non-instructional transitions.
• Communicate with students, parents, faculty and staff with professional customer service.
