Job summary

Hinds County School District is seeking a Special Education Instructional Specialist to provide instructional support and coaching to special education teachers and instructional assistants. The role focuses on implementing data-driven strategies to meet IEP goals and close achievement gaps for students with disabilities.

The specialist will analyze classroom and school-wide data, model best practices, and support teachers in planning effective, specially designed instruction across all content

Qualifications

Current State of Mississippi license.
Five years successful teaching or administrative experience.
Demonstrated attendance record and reliability.
Experience with planning and delivering specially designed instruction (IEP).
Ability to analyze data to adjust instruction and share best practices.

Responsibilities

Provide instructional coaching to special education teachers and assistants.
Analyze data to identify trends and guide instructional improvements.
Support implementation of specially designed instruction from IEPs across content areas.
Co-teach or model lessons to develop teacher capacity.
Collaborate to ensure equitable access for students with disabilities.
