Job summary

Schoolforce Solutions is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students with disabilities during the school year. The role involves developing IEPs and delivering differentiated instruction in diverse classroom settings.

You will collaborate with therapists and general education teachers, participate in IEP meetings, and ensure compliance with ISBE and IDEA guidelines while maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education from an accredited program.
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education Endorsement issued by the ISBE.
• Experience with IEP development and implementation.
• Fingerprint clearance and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Provide differentiated instruction in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classrooms.
• Adapt lesson plans, curriculum, and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success.
• Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Maintain records and documentation in compliance with ISBE and IDEA guidelines.
• Implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies.
