Job summary

Tri-Town School Union (Topsfield, Boxford & Middleton Elementary Schools PK-6) Howe-Manning Elementary School in Middleton, MA is seeking an Instructional Assistant (ESP). The role reports to the Special Education Coordinator and Principal and supports students with IEP goals across ELA/Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree preferred in psychology or education, experience with disabilities, ABA knowledge, crisis prevention training, and strong

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary age children with disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or social/emotional/behavioral disabilities.
• Practical knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and intervention strategies, including social skills/ social thinking curricula.
• Current/active in-depth training/ certification in Crisis Prevention and Intervention Strategies.
• Good organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists Teacher(s) in the smooth operation of the classroom.
• Assist Teacher(s) in implementing students’ IEPs.
• Follows a daily schedule independently.
• Implement instructional programs and collect student performance data.
• Implement strategies and techniques aligned with behavior plans and social skills curricula across school settings.
• Assist students in accessing the regular education curriculum as per IEPs.
