Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six semester hours of coursework in early childhood education or two years of work experience in early childhood setting if Title I school.
• CPI certification is required and CPI training will be provided by WCPSS.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in coordinating instructional programs for special education students and IEPs.
• Assist with implementing behavioral intervention plans and classroom procedures.
• Prepare materials and ensure resources are available for lessons.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information under FERPA and district policies.
• Assist with transitions, mobility, and health-related student needs as required.
• Participate in district staff development and professional growth.
• Promote safety, independence, and progress toward student outcomes.
