Job summary

Alief Independent School District is seeking a Special Education Instructional Paraprofessional at Alief Learning Center to assist teachers with implementing IEPs for students with disabilities and prepare needed instructional materials.

Responsibilities include engaging students in activities, reinforcing learning, recording progress, and supporting classroom management within the school day. Emphasis on confidentiality, organization, and collaborative teamwork with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification as listed: High School diploma or GED and eligible for paraprofessional certification.
• Demonstrates interest and aptitude for the work, strong organization and communication.
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and support classroom instruction.
• Experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Engage students in instructional activities under teacher guidance.
• Assist in using instructional materials and IEP-related accommodations.
• Record data related to IEP objectives and student progress.
• Support supervision during lunch and transitions.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and follow safety protocols.
