• Bachelor's degree required and valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Special Education certification required for the assignment.
• ESL certification preferred or to be obtained within two years.
• Meet NCLB Highly Qualified criteria as required by assignment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach a program of study per TEA, district mandates, and IEP.
• Develop and implement TEA-compliant lesson plans and IEP goals.
• Use diverse instructional strategies and technology reflecting student needs.
• Implement ARD/LPAC modifications and accommodations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support SPED students.
• Maintain records and provide progress reports.
