Job summary

ResponsiveEd’s Special Education Instructional Aide role offers hands-on experience in supporting students with diverse learning and developmental needs under the guidance of the classroom teacher and campus administration.

You will assist with IEP implementation, ARD timelines, and collaboration with specialists while maintaining records and contributing to student progress assessments. The position emphasizes teamwork and effective communication with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or GED.
• Experience working with students or parents is preferred.
• Three creditable years as Educational Aide I/II or 30 college credits with child development emphasis or completion of an aide certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational and social development of students under teacher direction.
• Assist with implementation and monitoring of IEPs.
• Support students inside and outside the classroom to participate in activities.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, social workers, and therapists.
• Maintain student records and assist in ARD/REED timelines.
• Support for general education teachers with needed materials and planning.
• Ensure compliance with state assessments and RTI processes.
• Communicate with parents, students, teachers, and administrators.
