Job summary

Horry County Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for Palmetto Bays Elementary in Myrtle Beach, SC. Qualifications

• Must meet paraprofessional requirements (60 college credits or an Associates degree or paraprofessional certificate)
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine notes
• Effective communication with staff and students
• Basic math and data handling for progress reporting

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of IEP goals under teacher direction
• Support individual or small group instruction and guide student independence
• Attend to students' personal and medical needs as required
• Collect and report student performance data to teachers and keep records
