Job summary

Cannon Valley Special Education Cooperative (CVSEC) in Faribault, Minnesota seeks Educational Assistants to support students with diverse learning needs. You will work one-on-one and in small groups to implement instructional objectives and IEPs, while fostering positive behaviors and social-emotional growth.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, patience, flexibility, and teamwork, and are motivated to help students develop lifelong skills within a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher required or equivalent.
• 60 post-secondary credits accepted as alternative qualification.
• Passing score on the ParaPro or ParaEducator assessment.
• Equivalent training approved by the Minnesota Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academic instruction in one-on-one and small-group settings.
• Support classroom activities, learning objectives, and IEPs.
• Encourage positive behaviors and help develop social-emotional skills.
• Monitor, redirect, and reinforce appropriate student behavior.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care when required.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create engaging learning experiences.

What You'll Do
