Special Education Ed Tech III - Deering High

Position Overview

Deering High School is seeking Special Education Ed Tech III's to support special education classes and students at Deering High School. The selected candidates will collaborate closely with a Special Education Teacher while working 1-on-1 and in small groups with students. The position also includes mainstream push‑in support in core content classes, art, health, and physical education. The selected candidates will be part of a solid group of Ed Techs in the building.

There are openings in our Resource, Breathe, Functional Life Skills, and Functional Academics classrooms.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to manage data management systems, analyze, and synthesize data
• Ability to support teaching and learning
• Ability to manage and oversee school‑wide testing procedures
• Ability to interact with staff, students, parents, and others in an open, friendly, professional manner

Education, Training, and Experience

• Approval as an Educational Technician III by the Maine Department of Education; alternatively, Maine provisional or professional teacher certification
