Title: Special Education Ed Tech III – Deering High

Position Overview

Deering High School is seeking Special Education Ed Tech III's to support special education classes and students. The selected candidates will collaborate closely with a Special Education Teacher while working 1-on-1 and in small groups with students. The position also includes mainstream “push-in” in core content classes, art, health, and physical education. Candidates will be part of a solid group of Ed Techs in the building.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to manage data management systems, analyze, and synthesize data
  • Ability to support teaching and learning
  • Ability to manage and oversee school-wide testing procedures
  • Ability to interact with staff, students, parents, and others in an open, friendly, professional manner
Education, Training, and Experience
  • Approval as an Educational Technician III by the Maine Department of Education; alternatively, Maine provisional or professional teacher certification
