TrulyHired in North Carolina is seeking an Exceptional Children's Teacher to provide specialized education under state and federal guidelines. You will develop and implement IEPs, adapt materials, and design activities to help EC students meet academic, behavioral, and social goals while tracking progress and maintaining records.

The role reports to the principal and involves collaboration with parents, school staff, and community care‑givers.

Formación

• Degree in special education and certification in at least one disability area.
• Strong classroom management and behavior support skills.
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs and monitor progress.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and implements instructional plans aligned with IEPs and curricular goals.
• Develops and updates Individual Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provides direct special education instruction using varied teaching methods.
• Adapts or develops materials to meet student needs.
• Monitors student behavior, maintains discipline, deescalates behaviors, and records incidents.
• Assists disabled students with personal and self-help tasks.
• Communicates with parents regarding educational progress through progress reports.
• Acts as case coordinator with caregivers and school staff.
• Maintains student records per state guidelines and ensures compliance.
• Treats students fairly and collaborates with colleagues and families.
• Participates in professional development and demonstrates growth.
