Job summary

Distinctive Schools in Chicago, IL seeks a Special Education Compliance Manager to oversee IEPs, evaluations and compliance across campuses. The role drives data-informed decisions and ensures adherence to IDEA, Section 504, and state regulations.

You will collaborate with administrators, families, and service providers, traveling to campuses as needed to sustain high-quality special education services and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education or Master's in educational administration.
• PEL in Special Education or School Support Personnel with supervisory endorsement.
• Experience as a Special Education Case Manager.
• Knowledge of MTSS/RTI and federal/state laws on special education.
• Strong collaboration with administrators, staff, families, and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of annual reviews, initial and triennial reevaluations per law.
• Monitor IEPs, related services, and student progress.
• Consult with principals on special education concerns.
• Coordinate with state, ISD/LEA, and authorizers for trainings and compliance.
• Lead audits of special education files and ensure data accuracy.
