Job summary

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of verifiable clerical experience including at least one year at a level comparable to a 1424 Clerk Typist.
• Experience must have included data entry, preparing and maintaining a wide variety of documents and reports, public contact, checking and reviewing documents for completeness, and performing mathematical computations.

Responsibilities

• Provides clerical support to special education programs, including preparing, assembling and distributing IEP meeting notices, assessment plans and related documents.
• Maintains confidential student special education records in accordance with FERPA, IDEA and District policy, including filing, scanning and processing records requests.
• Enters accounting and financial statements, contracts, payrolls, receipts and similar materials into the appropriate system and submits to authorizing officials.
• Schedules IEP and other special education meetings, coordinates calendars for assessors, service providers, school site staff and families, and arranges interpretation as needed.
• Receives and communicates with families, school site staff and the general public in connection with providing information about special education programs and services.
