Job summary

Lexington School District Two seeks a Classroom Support Employee (Additional Education Assistant) to assist students with special needs throughout the school day within the Special Education department.

The role supports teachers in classroom operations, helps with bus loading for wheelchair-bound students, and facilitates small instructional groups using provided lesson plans. A combination of Workkeys/ParaPro or college credits is required.

Qualifications

• Workkeys Level 2 and ParaPathways/ParaPro passing scores, or 60 credit hours (transcripts required).
• Bachelor's Degree (transcripts required)
• High school diploma or GED with Workkeys and ParaPathways/ParaPro requirements

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher in classroom operations.
• Loads/unloads wheelchair bound students on the bus.
• Facilitates instructional groups with teacher-provided lesson plans and materials.
• Collects data as assigned by the teacher.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
