Job summary

The role involves assisting teachers, working with small groups or individuals, maintaining a safe learning environment, and following IEPs and district protocols. Immediate start with 7-hour days, paid at $14.50/hour.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of reading, writing and math instruction support.
• Ability to set up classroom routines and transitions.
• Experience assisting students with varied learning paces.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up classroom routines and transitions.
• Inform the teacher promptly of observed behaviors needing attention.
• Support students with small groups or one-on-one as directed.
• Use positive behavior strategies to manage student behavior.
• Follow school and classroom expectations during transitions and activities.
• Monitor safety in bus area, cafeteria, classrooms and corridors.
