Job summary

Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is seeking a Level II or Level III Classroom Assistant to support children with special needs ages 3-8 at our Murrysville/Export, PA location. This full-time role runs 7 hours per day (35 hours per week) with an hourly rate of $20-$23 and a benefits package valued at $6K.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; PA teaching certificate in SPED/Elem/EC required.
• Classroom Assistant II requires Bachelor's; for Class IIIB, Bachelor's preferred/required.
• Clearances (criminal, child abuse), FBI clearance, TB and physical exam required.

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing activities to enhance students' skills.
• Assisting in implementing the students' IEP.
• Providing a safe and accepting classroom.
• Providing 1:1 instruction as needed.
• Assisting in the instructional program, integration program, and behavior management of students.
