Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is hiring a Classroom Assistant II/III to support children with disabilities ages 3-8 at our Murrysville/Export, PA site. This full-time role offers 7 hours per day with a pay range of $20-$23 per hour and a benefits package valued at $6k.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education/Elementary/Early Childhood, and preferred experience with children with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education, and/or Early Childhood Education is required.
• Special Education Experience: 1 year is preferred.
• Prior experience working with children with disabilities (birth to 8) is preferred.
• Criminal Record Check required.
• Child Abuse History Clearance required.
• Department of Education FBI Clearance required.
• Physical examination and TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing activities to enhance students' skills.
• Assisting in implementing the students' IEP.
• Providing a safe and accepting classroom.
• Providing 1:1 instruction as needed.
• Assisting in the instructional program, integration program, and behavior management of students

Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization looking to hire a dynamic Level III or Level II Classroom Assistant to work with children with special needs ages 3-8 years old at our Murrysville/Export, PA location. The position is full-time, 7 hours a day at a range of $20-$23 per hour. This comes with a full benefit package valued at 6K.

POSITION-Classroom Assistant III or II

QUALIFICATIONS: Classroom Assistant III

• Bachelor's (Required)
• PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education, and/or Early Childhood Education (Required)
• Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)
• Prior experience working with children with disabilities (ages birth to 8) preferred.
• Acceptable Criminal Record Check required.
• Acceptable Child Abuse History Clearance required.
• Acceptable Department of Education FBI Clearance required.
• Passing of physical examination and TB required.

BENEFITS

• Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 7-hours days. Working35hours per week, with a typical school calendar of 9.5 months per year! The hourly rate range is from $20-$23.We also offer the option to earn extra income with summer employment as well.
