Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an assistant teacher to collaborate with certified teachers in delivering individualized supports within K-12 classrooms.

You will monitor student progress, reinforce lessons, and adapt materials to diverse learners in a PBIS-informed environment. Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds to support learning.
• Lead small group instruction and implement SESI’s academic rotational model.
• Partner with a teacher to provide customized behavior and academic support and conduct assessments.
• Reinforce learning by assigning tasks, using data to tailor materials, and conducting one-on-one tutorials.
• Assist the teacher with large group activities, grading, and accommodations as needed.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies to maintain safety and progress.
• Support daily plans and document student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.

Education
