Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an assistant teacher to work with small groups of K-12 students who need additional supports. You will collaborate with the teacher to deliver individualized services and monitor student progress.

Responsibilities include implementing SESI’s instructional model, conducting assessments, and providing behavioral and academic support. The role requires adapting to diverse learners and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.
• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students in small-group settings.
• Lead small group instruction and support the SESI rotational model.
• Assist the teacher with assessments and materials selection.
• Reinforce learning and track student progress with data.
• Support daily plans and behavior and safety strategies.
• Supervise students and coordinate with staff and service providers.
