Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) invites you to join our team as an assistant teacher, helping K-12 students with diverse needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will collaborate with teachers, support individualized instruction, monitor progress, and reinforce skills with data-driven methods within SESI's CASE framework, while benefiting from paid training, benefits, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with students with special needs preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for student transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction using SESI's rotational model.
• Partner with the teacher to provide customized behavior and academic support and conduct assessments.
• Reinforce learning by assigning tasks, using data to select materials, and completing tutorials.
• Assist the teacher with large group activities, grading, and accommodations as needed.
• Utilize behavior support and de-escalation techniques to ensure safety.
• Support daily plans and track student growth toward goals.
• Supervise students during transitions between locations.
