Central Bucks School District seeks a Special Education Assistant - Instructional at Holicong Middle School for the 2026/2027 school year. The part-time role requires up to 29.9 hours per week with no benefits, at $20.84 per hour. Some assignments include additional pay for student toileting needs.
Team collaboration, strong written and oral communication, and patient engagement with students are essential. Training in crisis prevention is provided by CBSD.
Must work as a team member and exercise good judgment, prioritize tasks and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Candidates must have patience and enjoy working with children. All other duties as assigned.
Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via CBSD. Minimum 2 years college course work or Associate Degree preferred. High School Diploma/Transcripts or GED equivalent required at time of hire (the minimum). Must work as a team member, exercise good judgment, prioritize tasks, effectively communicate with both students and adults and be a positive role model for students.
Ability to work in a school setting for extended periods, including but not limited to sitting, standing, bending, reaching, walking, talking, hearing, climbing stairs, and lifting to 20 lbs.
All employment is provisional for 90 days as required by ACT 168 of 2014, enacted December 22, 2014.
